Time keeps marching....Today I switched out our companies old website from the Precambrian for a spiffy new one. I wrote the oldie with Front Page on a Windows 98 system and the new with KompoZer on Ubuntu.

Archived a couple stories, the first and the most recent of the stories that [personal profile] mackiedockie and I've written together.

Love the humor in the new Sherlock fic being written now, it's practically medicinal. There's so much stress in my life otherwise that I'm grateful to disappear for a couple hours into that place where John and Sherlock are solving crimes and exchanging barbs. Mackiedockie and I have even been dabbling a bit. I remember it was the angst in Highlander that I loved in the late 90's. There have been a couple three fandoms I've associated with in the mean, but Sherlock is the first that's made me feel so comfortable since Highlander.

I'm sharpening my crocheting skillz. One terribly cute baby bonnet and the start of a blanket (Gonna a be a grandma!) have been committed. Once upon a mother's lifetime ago I sewed. Isn't it interesting that little girls don't appreciate the home made clothes that Mom made until they are grown? Both my adult daughter's have told me how nice those dresses were, yet I remember them being looked down on at the time. Same with the home made bread.

I'm very sad that Jim Byrnes' radio show Slipping into Darkness is being cancelled. It has been the center piece of our weekend since it started. Bunch of us nor'westers would listen to the live stream on-line while Google chatting and sipping a few. Jim knows so many great stories...it's a damn shame to see that go. You don't find the blues like that on just any old wave length.

Air quality has improved a bit. It was really thick until this last rain. It did give us some bang up sunsets. Violets, winter jasmine, hardy clematis and heather are all in bloom.

Cleaned off my desk today, inviting the doctor and the consulting detective in to play.
